Baseball season is back and we are in store for a great year! Long time subscribers know that futures are my favorite and most profitable market. Not that we need an excuse for a discount after the season we had last year, but returning customers can use code "YEAR3" for 20% off any subscription. If you used last year’s discount code your subscription will roll over with the same discount applied. During the season you will be able to find my daily projections here: outlierprojections.com/projections
Without further ado, here are our official 2024 futures along with my projections for each team.
Hou to win the AL West +115 (BetMGM, good to +100) - Another year of the Astro's being under appreciated. To be fair, this is just as much a bet on the rest of the division to not be able to meet the caliber of team the Astros are.
Rangers u89.5 (BetMGM, good to 88.5). The 2023 World Series Champions are among the greatest variance between my projection and the consensus price. You can also bet to miss the playoffs down to +100
LAD u104.5 (Caesars) - If there is one thing I love, it's juiced up win totals. Are the Dodgers good? Yes. Are they 105 wins good? Potentially, but I am willing to bet they aren't.
Atl to win NL East -240 (DK, good to -300) - Do you know how much I have to love a bet to lay -200? Let alone -240? Let alone -300?! The Braves have the best offensive player in baseball, the best pitcher in baseball, and I make them the best over all team in baseball.
Mil o76.5 (BetMGM, good to 77.5) - The Brewers have been gutted, but to their advantage, the rest of the NL Central is very weak and there are many paths for them to win the division. If you want to take on more upside, Mil to win the division at +900 at Caesars is also in play.
LAA o70 (Caesars, good to 73.5) - This feels horrible to take with Shohei leaving but this line has moved to a place where we have to take it. In Trout we trust.
Bal u91.5 (Caesars, good to 89) - Again, I love betting against public teams. The Orioles over performed last year, remain a young team, and play in a tough division.
Yankees u94.5 (Fanduel, good to 93.5) - I am on an island here with my Yankees win total projection compared to the market and other public projection systems. The pitching staff behind Gerrit Cole exceptionally weak when you factor in how much they are getting paid. I imagine we will be taking Yankees overs quite often early on in the year.
